Personal:

Pepper is my dog, thus my namesake. Used to run quite fast in the USMC (15:30 3 miles was my best) but stopped running when I got out. Now, it's much tougher and I generally cycle more than I run. However, I still compete in races because it's run and I can be a wee bit competitive.

Took time from work and ran out out and back on the Custis Trail out to the end at the intersection with the W&OD Trail. Total run distance was 8 miles and I once again have no idea where my watch is so I don't have a time. Based on when I got back to the gym to take a shower, it was right around 60 minutes + or - a few. Run felt good once I warmed up and I'll head over to the gym tonight. 39 days to the MCM. giddyup!

What a perfect day for a run!!! Very nice distance, Aaron.

39 and 19 are the magic numbers: days to your MCM PR, and days to my return to running! You should get someone to bring Pepper to the course around mile 21 - that'll get you pumping and excited to finish!

Lucia, 19 days....very nice. I'd love to have Pepper around the race but he would want to run with me. I don't think they would let that happen. He is quite the motivator, isn't he?

Aaron! Long time no blogging! What's going on? I hope you are well!
